4th International ATZ Digital Conference on Sustainability
The entire life cycle of a product, from the extraction of raw materials through production and service life to recycling, is becoming increasingly decisive. The ATZlive Digital Conference Sustainability in Automotive presents the current developments in the industry and discusses the next steps.
The circular economy has become the new paradigm of the industry. In his keynote speech “Ambition 2039 – Mercedes' way into a more sustainable future of mobility along the entire value chain”, Jens Rubi from Mercedes-Benz will provide an overview of the Group's efforts on the road to a sustainable future.
However, it is not just about suitable strategies and methods, but also about sustainable materials and scalable, ideally reusable components. In a joint presentation, Michael Begert (EDAG), Dr. Patrick Hirsch and Dr. Matthias Zscheyge (both Fraunhofer IMWS) will report on “Sustainable bio-based structural elements using the example of a child car seat shell”.
It is also immensely important to involve customers, because sustainable products can only be effective if they are accepted by the market. Dr. Philipp Seidel (Arthur D. Little) focused on this aspect in his presentation “Automotive customer preferences regarding sustainability”.
You can look forward to further specialist lectures as well, which you can find under the menu item Program.
