Due to the current situation created by Covid-19, the Congress "Automated Driving 2022" will take place as a hybrid event this year.
Automated driving helps to prevent accidents. What is more, AI-assisted robotic cars also form the basis for data-driven business models at OEMs. In order to be successful, concepts for future mobility solutions need to be developed from the perspective of user groups, urban and rural regions, and targeted business models. The focus must be on road safety and efficient performance, as well as on ecological, economic, and social sustainability. As an information and communication platform, the International Congress “Automated Driving” is dedicated to the key aspects of the mobility transformation.
Mobility as a prerequisite for playing an active part in social life must be redesigned and expanded, both conceptually and commercially. The basis for this is automated driving, which will open up new opportunities for innovative vehicle concepts and intermodal and multimodal transport. The key challenges here are greater traffic safety, improved digital on-demand availability, and a new quality of sustainability.
But automated driving is not possible without sensor fusion, powerful computer technology, AI, and V2X communication. If we are to create attractive solutions for every mobility purpose, we will need close collaboration between vehicle and electronics developers.
The 8th International ATZ Congress "Automated Driving" addresses the current developments and conditions with presentations from Europe, Asia, and America in a constructive dialogue.

In order to ensure that the ATZlive conferences are safe and successful for all participants, even in times of Corona, we have drawn up a wide-ranging hygiene protection concept and are making detailed arrangements with the event partners.
The hygiene protection concept is based on the SARS-CoV-2 industrial safety standard of the German federal government and on the official requirements, which can vary from state to state.Of course, we will provide sufficient protective measures on site and adhere to a concept for contactless check-in, seating with a safe distance, keeping a distance during breaks and catering, disinfection facilities, etc.
A trade exhibition of interesting suppliers and service providers rounds off the conference and provides the opportunity to find out about innovations on site.
